Group psychotherapy is a type of therapy that uses a scientific technique with a group of people to work on their problems together. It is focused on helping people share their feelings and thoughts with others. Group therapy can be helpful for a number of different reasons, including:

  • Helping people feel more connected to others and trust them.

  • Helping people learn how to cope with difficult emotions and perspectives.

  • Providing support during difficult times.

  • Helping to build stronger interpersonal relationships.

  • Helping people feel less alone.

Group therapy is often also used to treat different types of mental health problems including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
