Individual Therapy

Individual therapy (psychotherapy or counselling) provides the opportunity for individuals to work one-on-one with a qualified therapist—in a safe, caring, and confidential setting - to explore their emotions, beliefs, or behaviours, work through challenging or substantial memories, identify areas of their lives that they would like to develop or change, properly understand themselves and others, set individual goals, and work toward desired changes.

Individuals seek therapy for an extensive range of reasons, from coping with major life difficulties or childhood trauma to challenges with depression or anxiety to lesser issues such as yearning for personal development and higher self-awareness. A client and therapist may work together for as few as five or six sessions or as long as several years, depending on the client’s unique needs and personal goals for therapy.
